Welcome to Yeading Skip Hire. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services. By booking a skip with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- Company: Refers to Yeading Skip Hire.
- Customer: The individual or entity booking our skip hire services.
- Skip: The container provided by Yeading Skip Hire for waste disposal.
2. Booking and Payment
To reserve a skip, the Customer must complete the booking process, providing accurate and complete information. Payment for the skip hire must be made in advance or as agreed upon at the time of booking.
2.1 Payment Methods
We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and online payment systems. All payments must be made in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
3. Delivery and Collection
Upon confirmation of payment, we will deliver the skip to the specified location at the agreed-upon time. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the area is accessible for delivery and collection.
3.1 Access Requirements
- The delivery location must be accessible for our delivery vehicle.
- Clear signage should be provided if the location is not easily identifiable.
- Any obstructions should be removed prior to delivery.
4. Usage Guidelines
The skip provided is for the sole use of the Customer. Proper usage includes adhering to the weight limits and types of waste accepted.
4.1 Prohibited Items
- Hazardous materials such as chemicals, asbestos, and batteries.
- Sharp objects and broken glass.
- Electrical appliances beyond a specified size.
- Any items that may cause damage to the skip or pose safety risks.
4.2 Weight Limits
Each skip has a maximum weight capacity. It is imperative to adhere to these limits to prevent overloading, which can result in additional charges or safety hazards.
5. Duration of Hire
The hire period begins on the date of delivery and ends upon collection. Extensions may be requested but are subject to availability and additional fees.
5.1 Late Returns
If the skip is not returned on the agreed date, additional charges may apply. It is the Customer’s responsibility to communicate any changes in the collection schedule promptly.
6. Fees and Charges
All fees must be paid as outlined in the booking confirmation. Additional services or extensions will incur extra costs.
6.1 Extra Charges
- Overweight charges for exceeding the skip’s weight limit.
- Fees for prohibited items disposed of in the skip.
- Late return fees.
- Delivery or collection outside the agreed area.
7. Liability
Yeading Skip Hire is not liable for any damage to property or injury sustained during the use of our skip services, except where caused by our negligence.
7.1 Insurance
Customers are advised to have appropriate insurance coverage for their waste disposal activities. Yeading Skip Hire does not provide insurance for customer-provided waste.
8. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery to avoid cancellation fees. Refunds will be processed based on the time of cancellation and any incurred costs.
8.1 No-Show Policy
If the Customer is not present at the time of delivery, Yeading Skip Hire reserves the right to charge a no-show fee and reschedule the delivery at the Customer’s expense.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Amendments
Yeading Skip Hire reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be available on our platform, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
11. Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected during the booking process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, ensuring that your data is secure and used solely for service provision.
11.1 Data Protection
Your personal data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
12. Force Majeure
Yeading Skip Hire shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or labor strikes.
12.1 Notification
In the event of a force majeure situation, we will notify the Customer as soon as possible and provide alternative arrangements if feasible.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Yeading Skip Hire and the Customer regarding the use of our services, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
